Science Teacher opportunity with a focus on Chemistry or Physics up to KS4.

The Opportunity:

A Science Teacher is needed to teach Chemistry or Physics up to KS4 in a forward-thinking environment. This role offers the chance to join a progressive science faculty and contribute to a high-achieving, inclusive school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Chemistry or Physics up to KS4, delivering high-quality lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
  • Support student progress through differentiated instruction and formative assessment.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the science curriculum, including planning and resource creation.
  • Participate in a robust Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme focused on research-informed teaching practices.
  • Engage in extracurricular science activities, including clubs and trips, to inspire student interest and passion for science.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the science faculty and wider school to support student achievement and school improvement.
  • Support trainee teachers and contribute to staff development initiatives.
  • Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity and scientific inquiry.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Chemistry or Physics.
  • Experience teaching Science up to KS4.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student achievement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with Science CPD or leadership roles.
  • Experience in extracurricular science engagement.
  • Experience with KS5 teaching (A level) in Science subjects.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies in science education.
