We are seeking a passionate and qualified History and Politics Lecturer to join a dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to inspire and educate students aged 16-19 in a subject that consistently achieves top results. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering A Level, AS, and GCSE courses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching in History and Politics at A Level, AS, and GCSE levels.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with Pearson Edexcel specifications.
  • Support student progress through effective assessment and feedback.
  • Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and curriculum planning.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
  • Stay updated with developments in the subject and educational practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in History, Politics, or a closely related subject.
  • Teaching experience up to A Level, with a proven track record of effective teaching and learning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students aged 16-19.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching GCSE History.
  • Previous experience in a further education setting.
  • Familiarity with Pearson Edexcel specifications.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
