We are seeking a passionate and qualified History and Politics Lecturer to join a dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering A Level, AS, and GCSE courses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching in History and Politics at A Level, AS, and GCSE levels.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with Pearson Edexcel specifications.
- Support student progress through effective assessment and feedback.
- Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience.
- Participate in departmental meetings and curriculum planning.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
- Stay updated with developments in the subject and educational practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree in History, Politics, or a closely related subject.
- Teaching experience up to A Level, with a proven track record of effective teaching and learning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire students aged 16-19.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching GCSE History.
- Previous experience in a further education setting.
- Familiarity with Pearson Edexcel specifications.
