The Opportunity:
As a History and Politics Teacher (Part Time), you will contribute to a dynamic and successful department, delivering high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students. This role offers the chance to teach across Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A level, with a focus on developing critical thinking and academic achievement in a supportive, all-girls environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that promote intellectual curiosity and critical thinking in History and Politics.
- Support students to achieve their full potential across Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A level.
- Contribute to the co-curricular life of the school through trips, societies, and events.
- Act as a Form Tutor or Co-Tutor, playing a key role in the pastoral care of students.
- Participate in departmental planning and contribute to the development of the curriculum.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning.
- Encourage student-led initiatives and support a culture of academic and personal growth.
- Promote the school’s values and ethos through active involvement in all aspects of school life.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in History and Politics.
- Experience of teaching at Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A level.
- Commitment to excellent teaching and learning, with a passion for inspiring students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to departmental and school-wide initiatives.
Preferred
- Experience in a co-educational or all-girls school environment.
- Experience with international study opportunities or student-led initiatives.
- Background in academic enrichment or extracurricular leadership.
- Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and technology in education.
