Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that support student progress and achievement in Music
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that reflects the school’s values and Catholic ethos
  • Support students in developing confidence, performance skills, and a deep appreciation for music
  • Contribute to school productions, liturgies, concerts, and other enrichment opportunities
  • Promote inclusivity and ensure all students have the opportunity to participate and thrive
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the musical life of the school
  • Maintain strong communication with students, parents, and other members of the school community
  • Uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Music
  • Experience teaching Music across key stages
  • Commitment to inclusive practice and high standards of teaching
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote student progress
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to support the Catholic ethos and values of the school

Preferred

  • Experience with performing arts or extracurricular music activities
  • Background in working with students of diverse abilities and backgrounds
  • Experience in coeducational settings
  • Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and technology
