The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in history and religious studies across key stages 3 and 4.
- Support students of all abilities, ensuring a challenging and inclusive learning environment.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the school’s enrichment programme.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance departmental standards and teaching practices.
- Participate in the ongoing professional development of the school and department.
- Stay up to date with curriculum developments and best practice in history and RS teaching.
- Engage in pastoral and extra-curricular activities that support student well-being and personal growth.
- Prepare and assess students effectively, ensuring they are well-prepared for GCSE and A-Level qualifications.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in history and religious studies.
- Proven ability to teach a range of abilities and key stages.
- Commitment to student-centered learning and personal development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to contribute to the school’s enrichment and pastoral programmes.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching GCSE and A-Level history and RS.
- Familiarity with the use of interactive teaching technologies.
- Experience with a broad range of extracurricular activities.
- ECTs are welcome and supported.
