Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and inspire students.
  • Plan and deliver curriculum content that aligns with the school’s vision and Ofsted standards.
  • Support students in achieving their academic potential through differentiated instruction and assessment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and school events.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and resilience.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Science education and incorporate new ideas into teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Science Teacher with relevant subject knowledge.
  • Experience in teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Commitment to student achievement and a passion for Science education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering Science lessons to a range of ability levels.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Familiarity with Ofsted standards and school improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
