As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with their learning and wellbeing. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with their learning and general wellbeing in a safe and caring environment.
  • Assist with care needs and positive behaviour management, adopting a tailored approach to individual students.
  • Establish warm, caring, and supportive relationships with pupils to encourage independence and personal development.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to deliver high-quality, differentiated educational activities.
  • Support students in 1:1 and small group settings to deliver personalised learning.
  • Be flexible and adaptable, willing to assist with a variety of duties as required.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that meets the needs of all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with students with special educational needs in an employed or voluntary setting.
  • GCSE Maths and English Level 3 or above qualification.
  • A recognised qualification at Level 2 or above in Support work for Teaching and Learning in Schools or an equivalent.

Preferred

  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own car.
  • Experience with Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
  • Ability to work 1:1 with students and support off-site trips and visits.
  • A positive, creative, and adaptable approach to supporting individual student needs.
