The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and challenging History lessons to students aged 11-18.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes critical thinking and a deep understanding of historical events.
- Support students in achieving high academic standards and preparing for GCSE and A Level examinations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and share best practices.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events that promote the school's values and ethos.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through pastoral and professional development activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and appropriate teaching qualification.
- Experience in teaching History at Key Stage 3 and 4, with an understanding of A Level requirements.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and professional development.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering high-quality History lessons that promote critical thinking and analytical skills.
