The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate History Teacher to join our Humanities Faculty and support students at KS3 and KS4. This role offers the chance to work within a collaborative team focused on raising student achievement and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality History lessons to students at KS3 and KS4.
  • Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly to support learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and student support.
  • Maintain accurate records and report on student performance.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
  • Participate in professional development and staff training initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Relevant teaching experience in History at KS3 and KS4.
  • Strong subject knowledge in History.
  • Experience of working within a school setting and with students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TEFL).
  • Experience in pastoral care or student support.
  • Familiarity with using digital tools in the classroom.
