Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective History lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Develop and implement a high-quality, curriculum-focused teaching approach.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance departmental performance and student progress.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through personalized learning and guidance.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure consistent improvement.
- Stay up to date with current developments in History and education practice.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and events.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in History or a related subject.
- Proven experience in teaching History at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for History.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and take on leadership responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Preferred
- Experience of teaching in a high-achieving school or Multi-Academy Trust.
- Experience with curriculum development and pedagogical innovation.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language or working with diverse student groups.
- Leadership experience within a department or school context.
