The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic History Teacher to inspire students and bring history to life through engaging and innovative teaching. This role will have a significant impact on student learning and development, with the opportunity to teach across key stages 3-4 and potentially key stage 5.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, appropriately adapted learning experiences for pupils across key stages 3-4, with potential for key stage 5.
  • Inspire and engage students through innovative and inclusive teaching methods.
  • Provide support to ensure all students have full access to the curriculum and foster a love for history.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that values diversity and encourages student participation.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in History.
  • Experience teaching History at key stages 3-4, with the ability to adapt lessons for diverse learners.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to equity, equality, diversity, and inclusion in education.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and support student achievement.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching at key stage 5.
  • Familiarity with inclusive education practices and strategies.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Experience working in a Multi-school Trust or similar educational environment.
