Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across a range of subjects in line with the school's curriculum
  • Support students with moderate learning difficulties and associated additional needs to reach their full potential
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure a consistent and supportive approach to student learning
  • Develop and implement individualised learning plans to meet the specific needs of students
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing detailed feedback to students and parents
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance teaching practice

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in special educational needs (SEN) settings
  • Proven ability to teach across a range of subjects
  • Strong understanding of inclusive education and differentiated teaching strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and personal development

Preferred

  • Experience in working with students with moderate learning difficulties and associated additional needs
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum and SEN frameworks
  • Experience with pastoral care and behaviour management
  • Knowledge of assistive technologies and teaching resources for SEN students
  • Experience in a school that works in partnership with mainstream education settings
