Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective History lessons across all year groups.
  • Support the department in achieving excellent student outcomes.
  • Use IRIS and regular drop-in feedback to continuously improve teaching practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement departmental strategies.
  • Take an active role in shaping departmental improvement and strategy.
  • Maintain high standards of teaching and learning through continuous professional development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and growth.
  • Work closely with senior and middle leaders to drive up educational standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong subject knowledge in History.
  • Proven ability to deliver effective and engaging lessons.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Experience in using IRIS and feedback mechanisms to enhance teaching performance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team to achieve shared goals.
  • A proactive and positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
  • Experience in a school environment with a focus on student achievement and pastoral care.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching History across a range of abilities and ages.
  • Background in delivering high-quality outcomes for students.
