The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science teaching across Key Stages 3 to 5, adapting to the needs of diverse student cohorts.
  • Continuously improve teaching and learning practices, demonstrating a commitment to personal and professional development.
  • Utilize IRIS and regular drop-in feedback to enhance performance and ensure consistent delivery of excellence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the school's overall improvement.
  • Support the school’s Key Drivers by embedding resilience, aspiration, and confidence in student learning.
  • Engage in a comprehensive programme of Professional Learning and Development (PLD) to enhance subject knowledge and pedagogical skills.
  • Mentor and support other staff members to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the school’s context and ensure alignment with the Trust's vision and values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in teaching Science at Key Stages 3 to 5.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver effective Science lessons to all ability ranges.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and a willingness to engage with IRIS and drop-in feedback.
  • A track record of delivering clear impact in the classroom.
  • A growth mindset, strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.
  • Experience working within a Multi-Academy Trust or similar educational setting.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language or other relevant additional qualifications.
  • A history of successful leadership or mentorship in a school setting.
  • Experience in developing and implementing curriculum strategies.
