Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach up to GCSE and A Level History, with experience in A Level Politics being an advantage.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that promote independent learning and critical thinking.
  • Support students in achieving excellent academic results and personal growth.
  • Participate in the co-curricular life of the school, including clubs and events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources.
  • Provide constructive feedback and assess student progress effectively.
  • Support the Head of Department in leadership and management responsibilities, if applicable.
  • Contribute to the induction and development of early career teachers.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in History.
  • Commitment to outstanding teaching and learning.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Experience teaching up to GCSE level.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching A Level History and/or A Level Politics.
  • Experience in leadership or mentoring roles within a school setting.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with co-curricular activities and student engagement.
