The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Teach a broad range of History topics, including modern British and American history, at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Deliver high-quality lessons that support student achievement and engagement.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of an innovative and successful curriculum.
- Support students in preparing for GCSE and A-level examinations.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching and learning.
- Engage in professional development and continuous improvement of teaching methods.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student success and well-being.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and pastoral care where appropriate.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in History education.
- Experience teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, engaging lessons.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and support the school's values.
Preferred
- Experience teaching Politics at A level.
- Prior knowledge of modern British and American history.
- Experience with curriculum development and innovation.
- Familiarity with examination requirements and assessment strategies.
