The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Food Technology Teacher to join a dynamic team at a school known for its outstanding academic results and commitment to student success. The role involves delivering high-quality lessons at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with an emphasis on curriculum design and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Food Technology lessons at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with the school’s vision and educational standards.
- Support student progress through formative and summative assessment strategies.
- Contribute to the school’s extra-curricular programme and wider community engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching and learning.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and continuing education initiatives.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
- Stay up to date with developments in Food Technology and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Food Technology.
- Experience in teaching Food Technology at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Strong understanding of curriculum design and pedagogical strategies.
- Commitment to continuing professional development.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience with cognitive science and evidence-based teaching methods.
- Involvement in extra-curricular activities or community engagement.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language or working with diverse student groups.
