The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Food Technology Teacher to join a dynamic team at a school known for its outstanding academic results and commitment to student success. The role involves delivering high-quality lessons at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with an emphasis on curriculum design and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Food Technology lessons at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with the school’s vision and educational standards.
  • Support student progress through formative and summative assessment strategies.
  • Contribute to the school’s extra-curricular programme and wider community engagement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching and learning.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and continuing education initiatives.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Food Technology and incorporate innovative teaching methods.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Food Technology.
  • Experience in teaching Food Technology at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum design and pedagogical strategies.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with cognitive science and evidence-based teaching methods.
  • Involvement in extra-curricular activities or community engagement.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language or working with diverse student groups.
