The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Physics lessons to students at Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
  • Design and implement curriculum content aligned with A-Level and International Baccalaureate standards.
  • Support student progress through targeted interventions and formative assessments.
  • Contribute to the development of the school’s extra-curricular programme.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and collaborative planning sessions.
  • Stay up to date with developments in curriculum design and cognitive science.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and student engagement in the classroom.
  • Support the school’s commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Physics education.
  • Ability to teach Physics at Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum design and cognitive science.
  • Commitment to the school’s extra-curricular programme.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with A-Level and International Baccalaureate qualifications.
  • Background in continuing professional development and innovation in teaching.
  • Interest in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
