The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated PE Teacher with a Hockey specialism to join our dynamic team. This role involves delivering high-quality PE lessons, managing the school’s extensive Hockey programme, and contributing to the co-curricular offering. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing young athletes and inspiring students through sport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured PE lessons that cater to all abilities.
  • Coordinate the school’s Hockey fixture programme, including managing affiliations and supporting squad training.
  • Work closely with the Head of Hockey and external coaches to ensure effective training and development.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of the PE curriculum and co-curricular activities.
  • Mentor individual students and support the development of sports teams.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and safety standards in all sporting activities.
  • Promote a culture of inclusivity and enthusiasm for physical activity across the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in PE.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Hockey and at least one other sport offered at the school.
  • Proven ability to deliver engaging and effective PE lessons.
  • Experience in managing sports teams and coordinating fixtures.
  • Commitment to the development of young athletes and the promotion of physical activity.

Preferred

  • Experience with Football or other sports offered at the school.
  • Knowledge of the school’s co-curricular programme and pastoral care initiatives.
  • Experience working in a high-performing, academically successful school environment.
