The Opportunity:

As a History Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the learning experiences of students at KS3, GCSE, and potentially A Level. You will be part of a dedicated team committed to fostering a love of learning and supporting the personal growth of all pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach History and Geography at KS3 and History GCSE, with the potential to also teach History and/or Politics at A Level.
  • Inspire and motivate students through engaging and effective teaching methods.
  • Identify knowledge gaps and implement targeted intervention strategies to support student progress.
  • Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their learning outcomes.
  • Use data to monitor and track student progress effectively.
  • Support the school’s Christian ethos and values in all aspects of teaching and learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a high-quality, cohesive curriculum.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A good honours degree in a relevant subject.
  • Proven experience in teaching History at KS3 and GCSE level.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s Christian ethos.
  • Fluency in spoken English.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching History and/or Politics at A Level.
  • Experience with data tracking and intervention strategies.
  • Experience in curriculum development and leadership.
  • Experience in a Church of England school or similar setting.
