Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, engaging science lessons that foster curiosity and a love of learning
• Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that enhance student outcomes
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve curriculum design and pedagogical approaches
• Support the professional development of staff through shared best practice
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted feedback and interventions
• Engage with students, parents, and the wider community to promote science education
• Contribute to extracurricular activities and STEM initiatives
• Maintain accurate records and follow school policies and procedures

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS
• Proven experience in teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for Science
• Commitment to continuous professional development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

• Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development
• Familiarity with teaching and learning strategies that support all learners
• Experience with inclusive education and supporting students with special educational needs
• Experience in mentoring or coaching other teachers
