Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging science lessons that foster curiosity and a love of learning
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that enhance student outcomes
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve curriculum design and pedagogical approaches
- Support the professional development of staff through shared best practice
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted feedback and interventions
- Engage with students, parents, and the wider community to promote science education
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and STEM initiatives
- Maintain accurate records and follow school policies and procedures
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS
- Proven experience in teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for Science
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development
- Familiarity with teaching and learning strategies that support all learners
- Experience with inclusive education and supporting students with special educational needs
- Experience in mentoring or coaching other teachers
