The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced HLTA Alternative Provision Teacher to make a meaningful impact on student outcomes in a supportive and inclusive learning environment. This role offers the chance to work in a school that values professional growth, collaboration, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality alternative provision teaching to students across a range of needs and abilities.
- Support the development and implementation of individual learning plans tailored to student needs.
- Work closely with other staff, including teachers, support staff, and pastoral leaders, to ensure a cohesive approach to student care and learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, using data to inform teaching strategies and interventions.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Maintain accurate records and report regularly on student progress and behavior.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to the wider school community through collaboration and shared best practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant teaching or support qualifications, with experience working in alternative provision settings.
- Proven ability to support students with a range of learning needs and behaviors.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Experience in developing and delivering individualized learning plans.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Preferred
- Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
- Familiarity with the use of educational technology and digital tools in teaching and learning.
- Experience with behaviour management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques.
- Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role within a teaching or support team.
