Teaching Assistant SEN role available at a progressive school. Support students with Special Educational Needs.

The Opportunity:
As a Teaching Assistant SEN, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs to achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers and specialists to create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment for all pupils, making a meaningful impact on their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support small groups and individual students with learning activities and personal care needs
- Implement and monitor Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) to ensure student progress
- Build positive relationships with students and promote inclusion and engagement
- Assist with wellbeing and personal care where required, ensuring a safe and supportive environment
- Provide regular feedback to teachers and track student progress effectively
- Collaborate with staff to develop and maintain a safe and engaging learning environment
- Support teaching and learning across the school in a variety of settings
- Contribute to the development of inclusive practices and strategies for students with complex needs
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in numeracy and literacy
- Basic knowledge of child development and learning
- Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude
- Ability to work effectively within a team and support the school’s mission
Preferred
- Experience supporting children or young people with complex, severe, or profound learning difficulties
- Commitment to continuous learning and development
- Previous experience in a SEND or special needs setting
