We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Food Technology Teacher to join our dedicated team and deliver high-quality education to students. This role offers the chance to make a real impact on student learning and development through engaging, practical lessons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Food Technology across Key Stage 4
- Plan and deliver engaging, practical and theory-based lessons
- Support students in developing skills in nutrition, food preparation, and healthy living
- Contribute to the wider Design & Technology curriculum where required
- Play an active role in curriculum development and enrichment opportunities
- Promote the school's Catholic ethos and values in all aspects of teaching
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning practices
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with strong subject knowledge in Food Technology
- Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities
- Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
- Ambitious and keen to develop professionally and progress in their career
- Support and uphold the school’s Catholic ethos and values
Preferred
- Experience with curriculum development and enrichment activities
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
- Experience with student pastoral care and welfare
- Experience with using technology in the classroom
- Experience with extracurricular activities and leadership roles
