Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching and learning in numeracy across all year groups.
  • Provide tailored assistance to students, including those with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to enhance student outcomes.
  • Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of numeracy-focused learning activities.
  • Monitor and record student progress regularly.
  • Assist in the preparation of resources and materials for lessons.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance professional skills.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A Level 3 qualification (NVQ level 3 or A level).
  • Experience working with children in a secondary school or similar setting.
  • Experience supporting children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
  • Strong organisational and technical skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in numeracy teaching or support roles.
  • Familiarity with the Star Academies' values and mission.
  • Experience in a school setting with a leadership specialism.
