The Opportunity:

Join a school's Inclusion team as HLTA Specialist Resource Provision Leader, playing a key role in supporting pupils with additional needs. This role involves leading and managing the Specialist Resource Provision, delivering targeted interventions, and working closely with the SENDCO to ensure pupils receive the support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, plan and deliver group and individual support using appropriate resources
  • Ensure intervention pupils are supported to improve their learning, including literacy, numeracy, and social skills
  • Coordinate and review the SEND provision for each pupil on the SEND register on a termly basis
  • Keep up to date records of pupil progress in agreed format and timescales
  • Liaise with relevant staff and leaders about needs, progress and achievement of pupils
  • Lead and attend meetings that relate to pupils accessing support
  • Develop relationships with parents and enable them to support their children through parent/carers’ workshops and information evenings
  • Support the SENDCO with ensuring special arrangements for exams are in place
  • Work with teachers to differentiate lessons and work plans
  • Provide objective and accurate feedback and reports as required, to the teacher on pupil achievement, progress and other matters
  • Foster positive links between school and home

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with pupils with additional needs
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to inclusion and diversity
  • Experience in delivering targeted interventions and support

Preferred

  • Experience in a specialist resource provision or similar role
  • Experience with exam arrangements and support for pupils with special educational needs
  • Experience in developing and maintaining pupil records
  • Experience in leading or supporting small group work
  • Experience in working with parents and carers
