The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Hospitality and Catering Teacher to join our thriving Food faculty. This role involves teaching Food and Nutrition at Key Stage 3, Hospitality and Catering at Key Stage 4, and contributing to a new Level 3 Food Science and Nutrition course. The opportunity allows you to make a meaningful impact on students’ learning and development in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Food and Nutrition at Key Stage 3 and Hospitality and Catering at Key Stage 4.
- Contribute to the delivery of a new Level 3 Food Science and Nutrition course.
- Support student learning through engaging and innovative teaching methods.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver high-quality lessons.
- Monitor and assess student progress effectively.
- Participate in professional development and staff training initiatives.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Engage with parents and the wider school community.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Hospitality and Catering.
- Experience of teaching Food and Nutrition at Key Stage 3 and Hospitality and Catering at Key Stage 4.
- Commitment to inclusive education and student well-being.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience of teaching KS3 and KS4 Textiles and/or Design and Technology.
- Experience in delivering Level 3 courses or equivalent.
- Background in a school with a strong focus on professional development.
- Familiarity with curriculum development and assessment practices.
