The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Religious Studies Teacher with KS3 Responsibility to join a dynamic and successful department. This role offers the chance to lead and shape the KS3 curriculum, making a real impact on student learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Religious Studies lessons to Key Stage 3 students, ensuring a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
  • Lead and shape the KS3 curriculum, working collaboratively with the Humanities team to develop innovative teaching strategies.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth and achievement.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of cross-curricular projects and initiatives within the Humanities department.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, INSET days, and other professional development opportunities.
  • Support the school’s commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of teaching and learning.
  • Engage in extracurricular activities and school trips that enhance student experience and learning outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Religious Studies.
  • Proven ability to teach and lead at Key Stage 3.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and collaboration with colleagues.
  • Experience in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading curriculum development or departmental initiatives.
  • Background in teaching Religious Studies at GCSE or A Level.
  • Familiarity with national professional qualifications and assessment strategies.
  • Experience in supporting Early Career Teachers or working within a large, well-resourced school.
