The Opportunity:

As an HR Partner, you will provide expert HR support across the employee lifecycle, with a focus on employee relations and organisational change. This role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact on a school’s culture and operations, working closely with senior leaders and managers to drive positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and managers across academic and support functions
  • Provide guidance and advice on employee relations and the interpretation of HR policies and procedures
  • Support managers in managing key processes including disciplinaries, grievances, and performance management
  • Offer clear and pragmatic advice on employment law and best practice
  • Handle complex and sensitive cases with consistency, fairness, and risk mitigation
  • Keep up to date with UK employment law to ensure compliance and alignment with best practices
  • Support the development and improvement of HR policies and processes
  • Contribute to HR-related change management and initiatives
  • Analyse and develop key HR metrics to identify areas for improvement
  • Oversee probation and performance appraisal processes
  • Manage the Casual Worker assignment process
  • Support the development and delivery of training materials

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in HR, with a focus on employee relations and organisational change
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
  • Ability to provide clear, pragmatic advice and support to managers
  • Experience in managing complex and sensitive cases
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in developing and analysing HR metrics
  • Familiarity with HR software and systems
