The Opportunity:

We are seeking an EYFS / Key Stage 1 Class Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive team. This role offers the opportunity to shape young minds and contribute to a curriculum that balances academic rigor with creative and enquiry-based learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and purposeful learning in EYFS and Key Stage 1, with a focus on communication, early reading, mathematics, and personal development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel valued and supported.
  • Plan and implement a creative and enquiry-led curriculum that promotes independent thinking and curiosity.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a coherent and ambitious learning journey for all students.
  • Support the development of confidence, independence, and a love of learning through outdoor and indoor activities.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including pastoral leadership and extra-curricular activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in EYFS or Key Stage 1.
  • Strong knowledge of early years and primary curriculum requirements.
  • Ability to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the holistic development of children.

Preferred

  • Experience with outdoor learning and play-based teaching methods.
  • Familiarity with both maintained and independent sectors.
  • Experience in pastoral leadership or extra-curricular involvement.
  • Demonstrated success in supporting student confidence and independence.
