The Opportunity:
As a Hub Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing school sites and site staff across multiple schools, ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about contributing to a high-performing educational institution and supporting the success of students and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of site staff across multiple schools.
- Oversee planned and reactive maintenance to ensure all facilities are in excellent condition.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and policies.
- Coordinate and manage contracts related to cleaning, grounds maintenance, and other site services.
- Support the management of premises, furniture, fittings, and grounds across the service hub.
- Make decisions and solve problems effectively in line with school policies.
- Promote a culture of safety, security, and operational excellence.
- Undertake any additional duties as required by the Headteacher or senior leadership.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification or ability to attain.
- Experience in caretaking or site management within a school or similar environment.
- Knowledge of moving and handling procedures.
- Ability to manage and lead a team independently.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Good IT skills, including email proficiency.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
- Understanding of the education sector and willingness to contribute to school life.
Preferred
- NVQ 3 or 4 or equivalent qualification.
- Training in specialist areas such as Legionella, Asbestos, or Fire Safety.
- First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one.
- Relevant trade experience in plumbing, building, or electrical work.
- Team leading skills and experience.
