Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Product Design & Textiles across the 11–18 age range.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and engage students.
  • Support the development of a creative and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning practices.
  • Contribute to the leadership and improvement of the department.
  • Promote the school’s ethos and values in all aspects of teaching and student interaction.
  • Participate in professional development and staff training initiatives.
  • Manage classroom and student behavior effectively.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Product Design & Textiles.
  • Strong teaching, management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and take on leadership responsibilities.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Excellent presentational and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching students across a wide age range.
  • Familiarity with the use of digital tools in design and textiles education.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
  • Background in a school with a strong spiritual or values-based ethos.
