Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-standard, differentiated lessons that challenge pupils of all abilities.
- Stay current with educational developments and contribute to a stimulating classroom environment.
- Fulfil the role of Form Tutor, taking responsibility for student wellbeing and personal development.
- Manage regular prep, marking, and formal assessments to ensure robust pupil progress.
- Support the wider life of the school, including boarding duties and occasional lesson cover.
- Teach across the full breadth of the Humanities, including History, Geography, Classics, and Religion & Philosophy.
- Contribute to the school’s culture and community through collaboration with colleagues and students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A strong background in Humanities subjects such as History, Geography, Classics, and Religion & Philosophy.
- Excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to high disciplinary standards.
- The ability to deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that challenge all students.
- Experience in pastoral care and form tutoring.
Preferred
- Experience in interdisciplinary teaching and the ability to teach across subjects.
- Familiarity with INSET and professional development opportunities.
- A genuine passion for education and a commitment to student success.
