Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-standard, differentiated lessons that challenge pupils of all abilities.
  • Stay current with educational developments and contribute to a stimulating classroom environment.
  • Fulfil the role of Form Tutor, taking responsibility for student wellbeing and personal development.
  • Manage regular prep, marking, and formal assessments to ensure robust pupil progress.
  • Support the wider life of the school, including boarding duties and occasional lesson cover.
  • Teach across the full breadth of the Humanities, including History, Geography, Classics, and Religion & Philosophy.
  • Contribute to the school’s culture and community through collaboration with colleagues and students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A strong background in Humanities subjects such as History, Geography, Classics, and Religion & Philosophy.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to high disciplinary standards.
  • The ability to deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that challenge all students.
  • Experience in pastoral care and form tutoring.

Preferred

  • Experience in interdisciplinary teaching and the ability to teach across subjects.
  • Familiarity with INSET and professional development opportunities.
  • A genuine passion for education and a commitment to student success.
