The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspire Learning: Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons that spark curiosity and engagement.
  • Nurture Growth: Foster the social, emotional, and cognitive development of all pupils in a supportive and inclusive classroom.
  • Track Progress: Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and provide meaningful feedback to parents.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with teaching assistants and the wider school team to promote core values and contribute to a vibrant school life.
  • Create a Stimulating Environment: Ensure the classroom is a safe, inspiring, and challenging space for all children.
  • Support Transition: Help pupils make a smooth transition from Reception to Year 1, maintaining a consistent and positive learning experience.
  • Promote Wellbeing: Encourage a positive classroom culture that supports the emotional and mental wellbeing of students.
  • Engage with Parents: Maintain strong communication with parents to support student progress and involvement in school life.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Key Stage 1.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and child development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in early years or transition phases of learning.
  • Familiarity with continuous provision and play-based learning approaches.
  • Experience with curriculum development or assessment strategies.
  • Background in safeguarding and child protection.
