The Opportunity:

As a Maths Teacher, you will have the unique chance to shape young minds in the classroom and inspire through sports on the field. This dual-role position combines academic excellence with leadership in both Maths and major team games, making it an ideal opportunity for an energetic and ambitious educator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-standard, differentiated Maths lessons across KS2 and KS3, ensuring student engagement and academic growth.
  • Coach and officiate major team games for both boys and girls, including Football, Rugby, Hockey, Cricket, and Netball.
  • Manage weekly fixtures, team selections, and provide expert coaching for all ability levels.
  • Maintain detailed records of pupil progress, set regular prep, and participate in INSET training for pedagogical and coaching development.
  • Contribute to the school’s vibrant boarding life through evening duties and serve as a key point of contact for parents and colleagues.
  • Support the school community by upholding high standards in both academic and sporting environments.
  • Assist in the coordination of Maths for KS1 and KS2, with potential for additional leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Maths education.
  • Proven ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
  • Experience in coaching and officiating team sports.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and professional environment in both academic and sporting contexts.

Preferred

  • Experience in coordinating academic subjects or leading teams.
  • Familiarity with progressive teaching methods and sports coaching techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities and leadership roles.
