Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, inquiry-based lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 in subjects such as History, Geography, and Sociology.
  • Support student progress through effective assessment, feedback, and differentiation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the IB and MYP curricula.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to the wider academic community.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and lifelong learning.
  • Provide pastoral support and mentorship to students as part of a strong, values-driven school culture.
  • Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and enrichment programs.
  • Maintain accurate records and report on student performance and progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Humanities subjects.
  • Strong subject knowledge in History, Geography, or related disciplines.
  • Experience in delivering curriculum at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Commitment to student progress and inclusive education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with the IB or MYP curricula.
  • Experience in teaching Religious Studies, Health and Social Care, or Psychology.
  • Ability to teach multiple Humanities subjects.
  • Experience with CPD and professional development.
  • Experience in a collaborative, multi-academy trust environment.
