The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and inspire students of all abilities.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that align with curriculum standards and student needs.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental practices and share best teaching approaches.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and provide pastoral support to students where appropriate.
- Stay up to date with developments in Science education and incorporate innovative teaching methods into classroom practice.
- Support the school’s mission to promote a culture of excellence, inclusivity, and student well-being.
- Contribute to the wider school community through professional development, staff meetings, and other collaborative initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant Science degree and appropriate teaching qualification (e.g., QTS).
- Proven experience in teaching Science at secondary level.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to student-centered learning and continuous professional development.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take on additional responsibilities.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching GCSE and A Level Science.
- Familiarity with modern teaching technologies and resources.
- Experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- Involvement in extracurricular activities or leadership within a school setting.
