The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Religious Studies Teacher to join our high-performing department. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced teachers or Early Career Teachers (ECT) looking to grow in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Religious Studies lessons that engage and inspire students.
- Develop innovative and inclusive teaching strategies that support student learning and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support departmental improvement.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
- Promote the importance of Religious Studies within the curriculum and across the school.
- Support the safeguarding and wellbeing of all students.
- Contribute to the development of the school’s wider curriculum and extra-curricular activities.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Religious Studies.
- Experience in teaching Religious Studies at the appropriate level, or Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a strong commitment to learning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student wellbeing and safeguarding.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
- Experience with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum or similar frameworks.
- Experience in developing and delivering innovative teaching resources.
- Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
- Experience with pastoral care and student support.
