The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Religious Studies Teacher to join our high-performing department. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced teachers or Early Career Teachers (ECT) looking to grow in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Religious Studies lessons that engage and inspire students.
  • Develop innovative and inclusive teaching strategies that support student learning and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support departmental improvement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Promote the importance of Religious Studies within the curriculum and across the school.
  • Support the safeguarding and wellbeing of all students.
  • Contribute to the development of the school’s wider curriculum and extra-curricular activities.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Religious Studies.
  • Experience in teaching Religious Studies at the appropriate level, or Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a strong commitment to learning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and safeguarding.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum or similar frameworks.
  • Experience in developing and delivering innovative teaching resources.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support.
