The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Humanities Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive department. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Humanities lessons to students across a range of ability levels
  • Use a variety of teaching resources and strategies to support student progress and achievement
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement a cohesive curriculum
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly to ensure all learners are supported
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve and achieve their goals
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance
  • Support the school's values and vision by promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Humanities
  • Experience of teaching at a secondary level
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
  • Strong organisational and time management skills

Preferred

  • Experience of working in a similar school or academy
  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language
  • Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development
  • Experience with safeguarding and child protection procedures
