Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach a variety of sports and physical activities to students of all abilities
  • Deliver lessons that are engaging, challenging, and tailored to individual needs
  • Prepare and mark work in line with school policies and standards
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behavior
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments and cross-curricular groups
  • Support the development of new initiatives and resources
  • Promote positive behavior and high standards of conduct in the classroom
  • Use ICT effectively to enhance teaching and learning

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in a relevant subject and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong communication and motivation skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • A warm and empathetic approach to teaching
  • Confidence in using ICT for teaching and classroom management
  • A commitment to professional development and innovative practice
  • A strong safety-first attitude in sports

Preferred

  • Experience teaching students with autism or complex needs
  • Experience in a specialist sports or physical education setting
  • Experience with curriculum development and resource creation
  • Experience working in a multi-site or trust-based environment
