Key Responsibilities:
- Teach a variety of sports and physical activities to students of all abilities
- Deliver lessons that are engaging, challenging, and tailored to individual needs
- Prepare and mark work in line with school policies and standards
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behavior
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments and cross-curricular groups
- Support the development of new initiatives and resources
- Promote positive behavior and high standards of conduct in the classroom
- Use ICT effectively to enhance teaching and learning
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree in a relevant subject and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong communication and motivation skills
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure
- A warm and empathetic approach to teaching
- Confidence in using ICT for teaching and classroom management
- A commitment to professional development and innovative practice
- A strong safety-first attitude in sports
Preferred
- Experience teaching students with autism or complex needs
- Experience in a specialist sports or physical education setting
- Experience with curriculum development and resource creation
- Experience working in a multi-site or trust-based environment
