The Opportunity:

As an IB DP Global Politics Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in inspiring students and fostering a culture of international-mindedness. You will design and deliver engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences that challenge and support students in achieving their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement inquiry-based learning strategies that promote critical thinking and global awareness.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that align with the IB DP Global Politics curriculum and support student success.
  • Assess student progress effectively and use data to inform instruction and improve outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and support a cohesive learning environment.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive and inclusive school community.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school’s academic programs.
  • Support the school’s mission by promoting international-mindedness and cross-cultural understanding.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Advanced English language proficiency
  • Bachelor’s degree in Global Politics or a related field, with a PGCE in Education and QTS or equivalent
  • Minimum of three years’ teaching experience in a reputable school
  • Experience in an IB or GCSE school setting
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve outstanding student outcomes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to international-mindedness and student-centered learning

Preferred

  • Experience with the IB DP programme
  • Background in planning rich and engaging learning experiences
  • Familiarity with assessment strategies and their application in the classroom
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL)
