The Opportunity:
As an ICT Technician, you will provide 2nd Line support to teaching and support staff, as well as students. This role is vital in maintaining the school’s progressive use of ICT and ensuring smooth operations across the institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 2nd Line technical support to staff and students across the school.
- Install, configure, and upgrade Microsoft Windows on school devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for a wide range of devices.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of network infrastructure, including firewalls and safeguarding technologies.
- Collaborate with the IT Manager and Network Manager to ensure efficient ICT operations.
- Maintain and manage over 1200 endpoints, including Windows, Mac, and iOS devices.
- Ensure compliance with the school's ICT policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with non-technical users and provide clear guidance on technical matters.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant experience in a user-facing ICT role, preferably in the education sector.
- Experience with PC hardware installation and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of installing, configuring, and upgrading Microsoft Windows.
- Familiarity with networking technologies, including wireless and structured cabling.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and remain calm under pressure.
Preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office and education-specific software.
- Comptia and Microsoft certifications.
- Knowledge of Mac systems and related software.
- Experience with Microsoft CoPilot and Google Workspace.
