The Opportunity:
We are seeking an inspiring and creative Design & Technology Teacher (Textiles) to join a high-performing department. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Design & Technology (Textiles) across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Support students in achieving excellent results, with a focus on developing practical and theoretical skills.
- Contribute to the development of the department's curriculum and teaching strategies.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance student learning and school performance.
- Provide pastoral support and mentorship to students where appropriate.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events.
- Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
- Maintain accurate records and assess student progress effectively.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Design & Technology (Textiles) at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach KS5.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a high-performing department.
Preferred
- Experience in a Church of England school or similar environment.
- Experience with innovative teaching and learning approaches.
- Experience in supporting students from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience in curriculum development and leadership within a department.
