The Opportunity:
As an ICT Technician, you will provide essential technical support to ensure a seamless learning environment for students and staff. Your role is vital in maintaining the school's ICT infrastructure and ensuring that technology enhances teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the school's ICT network to ensure reliable and secure access for all users.
- Troubleshoot software and hardware issues promptly to minimize disruption to teaching and learning.
- Procure, install, and configure educational and office software to support school operations.
- Procure, install, and manage educational and office hardware across the school.
- Provide technical support to staff and students, ensuring effective use of technology in the classroom.
- Collaborate with the business support team to deliver an outstanding learning environment.
- Keep up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in ICT management.
- Document all technical processes and support interactions for reference and training purposes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade 9-4/A*-C.
- Experience in troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
- Experience in managing an ICT network effectively.
- Ability to procure, install, and manage educational and office software.
- Ability to procure, install, and manage educational and office hardware.
Preferred
- Experience working in an educational setting.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with leadership and character development programmes.
- Commitment to supporting disadvantaged students.
