Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the school's facilities to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff.
  • Oversee cleaning and caretaking duties across the school site.
  • Carry out specialist building maintenance work within the capacity of a handyperson.
  • Keep detailed and accurate work records for all maintenance and cleaning tasks.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively and manage your workload to ensure all duties are completed to a high standard.
  • Identify and address potential safety hazards promptly.
  • Provide excellent customer service to the school community.
  • Collaborate with other staff to support the smooth running of the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in carrying out specialist building maintenance work.
  • Experience in keeping detailed work records.
  • Ability to perform a range of caretaking and cleaning duties.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Experience with health and safety procedures.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of maintenance and repair techniques.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
