Summary:

Inclusion Officer role with term time only + inset. Support students with additional needs in a high-performing school.

The Opportunity:

As an Inclusion Officer, you will support the wellbeing and progress of students with additional needs by delivering a high-quality administrative service. You will work closely with the SENCO and Inclusion Team to coordinate key processes and ensure statutory deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage Learning Plans, Personal Education Plans, EHCP documentation, and Annual Reviews
  • Liaise with staff, parents, carers, and external professionals to support student needs
  • Organise meetings and maintain accurate records using IT systems and school-based platforms
  • Support administrative functions across the school, including reception cover, first aid, and admissions
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the Inclusion Team and wider school operations
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and school policies
  • Communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Maintain and update information systems with detailed and accurate records

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong administrative experience and exceptional organisational skills
  • Ability to manage a varied workload with accuracy and professionalism
  • Confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and school-based platforms
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences
  • Commitment to safeguarding, child protection, and promoting the wellbeing of children and young people

Preferred

  • Experience in working with students with additional needs
  • Experience with Learning Plans, EHCP documentation, or Annual Reviews
  • Experience in supporting the Inclusion Team or SENCO
  • Experience with admissions processes or first aid
  • Experience in a school or educational setting
