The Opportunity:
As a Sixth Form Administrator, you will support the smooth operation of the Sixth Form, ensuring students receive effective administrative and data management services. This role is essential in maintaining accurate records, managing communications, and supporting student processes such as admissions, interviews, and attendance tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate student records and data using MIS systems such as SIMS.
- Support admissions, interviews, enrolment, and bursary administration processes.
- Monitor and manage Sixth Form attendance, including communication with families and tracking at-risk students.
- Assist with minute-taking, display maintenance, event support, and student supervision.
- Contribute to safeguarding, welfare, and communication across the school community.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and school policies.
- Provide high-quality administrative support to the Head of Sixth Form and wider team.
- Respond to queries and maintain high standards of documentation and data accuracy.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within education.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confident in using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and MIS platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
- Proactive approach and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Experience with Sixth Form administration or student support services.
- Experience with attendance tracking and data reporting.
- Knowledge of SIMS or similar MIS systems.
- Experience in minute-taking or event coordination.
- First Aid or safeguarding training.
