The Opportunity:

As a SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs. You will develop individualized learning plans, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and create an inclusive classroom environment that empowers every student to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans tailored to students' specific learning needs.
• Modify curriculum and lesson plans to accommodate students with mild to moderate disabilities.
• Collaborate with school counselors, therapists, and parents to support student development and progress.
• Provide in-class and one-on-one support in English and math lessons, ensuring access to the curriculum.
• Work with speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals as needed.
• Maintain accurate student records and support students with emotional or behavioral challenges.
• Contribute to the school's overall mission and participate in staff meetings and training programs.
• Source and manage teaching resources and equipment to support individual learning needs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area and recognized teaching qualification or license.
• Minimum 2 years of experience teaching students with special educational needs or disabilities.
• Excellent command of English and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and school personnel.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Preferred

• Special education certification or working towards certification.
• Experience with assistive technology and students on the autistic spectrum.
• Experience in developing and implementing individualized learning programs.
• Knowledge of American, British, or International Baccalaureate curricula.
