The Opportunity:
As an International Primary Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering an engaging and inclusive curriculum based on the English National Curriculum. This is a chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners through innovative teaching and a strong focus on student wellbeing and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver an inclusive and engaging learning environment based on evidence-based best practice.
- Use a transdisciplinary and conceptual approach to deliver a challenging, relevant, and significant curriculum.
- Teach design and technology along with coding, integrated with inquiry-based learning units.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues, respecting cultural and religious diversity.
- Differentiate the curriculum to meet the needs of a diverse range of learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create and review Individual Education Plans.
- Maintain detailed planning documents with clear learning objectives and assessments.
- Monitor and document student progress regularly.
- Utilise technology to enhance learning outcomes and classroom management.
- Maintain a tidy and well-organised classroom environment.
- Support the academic, social, and emotional needs of students in a proactive manner.
- Participate in professional development and appraisal procedures.
- Contribute to the management of student welfare and behaviour within your class group.
- Carry out additional tasks as directed by the Principal.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Education or equivalent, or a Bachelor’s Degree in a subject followed by a PGCE from a recognised institution.
- At least 2–5 years of relevant teaching experience.
- Ability to teach design and technology and coding in a primary setting.
- Commitment to student wellbeing and safeguarding.
Preferred
- Experience with inquiry-based teaching (IB or IPC).
- Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme.
- Immediate availability.
