The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Music Teacher to join our vibrant school community. This role involves teaching curriculum music, leading ensembles, and supporting music events across the Junior and Senior Schools. The successful candidate will play a key role in nurturing musical talent and inspiring students of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach curriculum music to students aged 7–14, with a focus on both Junior and Senior Schools.
- Lead and support school ensembles, fostering student engagement and musical development.
- Organise and support music events throughout the school, enhancing the cultural and artistic environment.
- Collaborate with the Director of Music and Heads of Junior and Senior Music to ensure alignment with departmental goals.
- Develop and deliver high-quality music lessons that align with the school’s academic and co-curricular objectives.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and performance.
- Support the school’s mission of inspiring lifelong learners through music education.
- Participate in co-curricular activities and contribute to the broader educational community.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a strong background in music education.
- Experience teaching music to students aged 7–14.
- Ability to lead and manage ensembles effectively.
- Commitment to the school’s mission and values.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience with the UK National Curriculum or international curricula.
- Familiarity with music technology and digital resources.
- Experience in organising and managing school events.
- Multilingual skills, particularly in languages other than English.
- Previous experience in a British international school setting.
